Houston Solution for Hurricane Relief Benefit Concert DVD
IN 2007, THE HOUSTON SOCIETY FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS (SPA), HOUSTON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM (HCM), AND NEW ORLEANS MUSICIANS CLINIC (NOMC) PARTNERED WITH ACTIVEMUSIC/ ALAN AMES AND ASSOCIATES FOR A LIVE BENEFIT CONCERT SUPPORTING NEW ORLEANS MUSICIANS DISPLACED BY HURRICANE KATRINA AND RITA, AND THE SPA'S EFFORTS TO PROVIDE HOUSTON RESIDENTS A TASTE OF THE NOLA CULTURE AND FLAVOR.
The concert, featuring the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Johnette Napolitano, Carolyn Wonderland and the Soul Rebels Brass band, was hosted by then gubernatorial candidate Kinky Freidman and is now available on 2 DVD's for SPA supporters in advance of their fall commercial release.

This is a live benefit concert featuring songs from The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Johnette Napolitano (formerly of Concrete Blond), and Carolyn Wonderland with special host, the Clown Prince of Texas, Kinky Friedman. Songs performed include "Joey", "Tuf Enuf" "Wrap it up" and many more favorites.
